Red Sided Eclectus:
The Red-sided Eclectus originates from the large island of New Guinea. It was first described by Scopoli in 1786 and was the first subspecies to be described.

The Eclectus Parrot is a dimorphic species where the female's are red and blue and the male's are emerald green with a candy corn beak. The Eclectus male or female can make an excellent pet, they are independent birds but still crave the attention they get from their human flock. These birds have the ability to make great talkers with a delightful personality.
